Sri Gayatri Charitable Trust, Perambur with the blessings of Almighty and of the Acharyas is engaged in social service activities in and around Perambur for nearly a decade.The Trust had decided to start a home for the aged, to cater to the needs of the affluent and also to the less fortunate. Our Vice Chairman Sri S.Vasudevan on the wishes of his parents, has donated three acres of land at Manavur for the noble cause. Lakshmi SrinivasaRao Virdhasramam - Home for the aged is to be constructed at Manavur, a small town sandwitched between the holy places of Thrivallur and Thiruvalankadu, famous Vashnavite & Saivaite places respectively. The old age home tenements are to be constructed according to the needs of the inmates, self-sufficient one bedroom Apartments [around 350 sq.ft area] and a a large dormitary which will accomodate around 20 old age persons.
