Hidayathulla Islam Safina Jamath, Kottaimedu - is located 1 Km from the Railway Station It is known for its grand architecture. An Arabic College forms part of this mosque. It is recorded that when Tippu Sultan was on his way to Palakkad in Kerala to build a fort there, he and his army stopped at the kottaimedu fort near Coimbatore for rest.The mosque was built in 1896
Located near the Townhall, this temple built by the Irula community in the 13th century. Coimbatore earlier called "kovanpudur" gets its name as mentioned earlier, from the leader of the Irula clan 'Kovan'. During the rule of Mysore dynasty, one of the kings renovated the temple and consecrated the 'Devi Koni Amman' in the style of 'Mahisasuramardhini'.
Kovai Courtalam is an exciting water fall at Siruvani. The water fall is about 37 kms away from Coimbatore. The falls situated in the dense forest and due to this reason the visitors are not permitted to see this after 5 pm
Aazhiyar Dam was constructed in the year 1962 acroos the aaliyar river.It is located is about 65 kms from Coimbatore and it is found at the foot hills of valparai The dam was built as a parambikulam aazhiyar project (PAP) is a huge reservoir.The dam is around 2 km in lenght.The dam is located on the foot hills of Valparai in the Aanamalai range of the Western Ghats.The scenery is absolute beautiful. Mountains surroundings three quarters of the reservoir. There is also a garden and playing area and Boting for visitors.
Named after the famous freedom fighter VO Chidambaram, the VOC Park is interesting place to visit, especially if you are accompanied by kids. For the young ones, the attractions within the park include rollar skater training ground, mini zoo, and toy train for jolly rides.
